My mission is to be the best husband, father of two and person that I can be, to keep growing personally and professionally as a physiotherapist and performance consultant.

I have an appetite for continuous learning, and to keep moving forward juggling anything and everything of interest. As my mom Sheila would often say, I have “many balls up in the air”.

David lives and works in Dublin, Ireland. He was born in Limerick.

He works as a physiotherapist, mentor, hosts a podcast, writes and is a director of Hauora,a performance wellbeing company. His two children are Michael and Grace. His joy joy.

Teamship & Followership

We must follow in order to be a leader as Coleman Ruiz says. In order to grow as a respectful and humble leader it’s important to have learned from many leaders in different places and positions of influence.

I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for a sum of many- a team. I have always been a team player, having always played team sports. I recognise the value of a cohesive and enthusiastic team. That’s a separator. A leader is only as strong and successful as the team he stands up with.

TEAM- togetherness, energy, attitude, mentality

Role Models & Mentors

IMG_8985%2B%25281%2529.jpg

I have learned from many. So many people have given so much time, education and space to thrive to me.

My first role models were my parents and now I can see how important that is as I aim to be a good role model for my young son as he embarks on his journey of “why”, “what” and “how”. I have had many more role models to look up to throughout both my personal and professional career thus far; for those people, thank you. I am sincerely grateful.

I have my tribe of mentors. Having continuous coaching and mentorship has helped me so much at critical times during my life. These people have pushed me and “chunked up” my learning and understanding “why”, as Simon Sinek discusses.

I implore each of you reading this to find your mentors, a peer group (for me, that’s The Leadership Bunker), your chosen group to facilitate your growth and education. We are only here once. Embrace the opportunity to fully engage by expanding your critical horizon with those key influencers.

“A fantastic clinician and passionate about all things leadership, high-performance, and development. David was a huge cog in the wheel of our Clinic, helping it grow financially, structurally and ideologically. An asset to any company or organisation.”
