This is a story about what I’m learning, doing and striving to do and be more of.

I’ve learned so much from so many.

Thank you to each of you. You know who you are. You have trusted me, helped me and given me a stage.

I plan to pass it on to my son Michael and daughter Grace.

It started with a broken wrist. Then it was myositis ossificans in my quad. Jumpers’ knee followed. Hamstring strains, shoulder subluxations, groin issues all contributed to my hunger to understand the body and injuries.

That started my journey into my purpose and passion for the human body, helping people and connecting with others.

“Clancyclinic” paved the way. It paid for my Masters. Private practice mixed with League of Ireland soccer and rugby opened up the door to a career-changing course in London via Milan with Isokinetic Medical Group.

That experience and network opened up opportunities in the NBA, research, presenting, teaching and ultimately back to Ireland with more skills.

Now it’s all about “Range”, as David Epstein wrote. I am a specialist but also a generalist as I’m curious about other things. I am now bringing this wide focus into my new ventures.

The last 18 months have been a whirlwind. A podcast, a performance clinic, a consulting wellbeing company. Onwards and upwards the plan- “stay hungry, stay foolish”, as Steve Jobs once said.

What makes high performing individuals tick?
